Capture the Truth Before it Changes!

Julia needs to capture the truth before it changes! She should start documenting everything - even events that she remembers from the past. Julia can use EXnotes to start building a “Truth Diary” that helps bring suspicions, facts and observations into a chronological history of events. She should use the Notarize feature in EXnotes to support her suspicions by gathering witness statements and the Chain Tag feature to turn her suspicions into an undeniable list of truths. Perhaps it’s not too late to work on her marriage but the truth needs to come to the forefront.

First of all, Tania should get immediate help; from family, from friends, from the authorities. No one should go through physical abuse - EVER! Tania should also begin the difficult process of documenting by using EXnotes as a personal, private diary of her own thoughts and experiences. She should use the Chain Tag feature in EXnotes to “chain” together all of the times when she was abused - what happened, what set him off, why did she stay, how serious were the injuries? As difficult as it is, Tania should document the effect on the children. Tania should use the Notarize feature in EXnotes to gather witness statements (doctors, family, friends, children) to help prove what is happening.
David has suggested counseling which signals his willingness to work on their problems. The fact that Lori refuses to go is a sign that David needs to document his thoughts and observations. EXnotes is very flexible and David can customize the Categories, Chain Tags, etc., according to his own needs. He should record his own thoughts and observations as well as the events that occur between he and Lori in order to present an accurate picture to a counselor, mediator, clergyman, or divorce lawyer. Maybe Lori doesn’t realize how serious this is to David! Maybe David can show her.
Mark is trying to do everything right but feels that the judge is siding with Nancy. Mark can back up his claims completely and put the burden of proof back on his Ex-wife by creating an EXnotes each time he sends a support check. Mark can simply cut-and-paste (or enter) information such as check number, transaction number, date sent, amount sent, checks cashed, etc., each time he sends a support check. He can produce a report based on “Category” (in this case child support) to prove his own “pattern of behavior”. This report should help him prove to the judge that he is in compliance. Mark should capture the truth (as he knows it to be) before Nancy can change it in court.
It’s your word against hers! Divorce is brutal and it can tear apart not only your relationship but so many others (friends, relatives, professional, etc.). Use EXnotes to “capture the truth before it changes” and be able to answer the lies, half-truths, and deceit with truth.
Supposed to be a “Friendly” Divorce
Many divorces start out with this promise but degrades to something way short of “friendly”. Use EXnotes to document the good and bad events that occur and put an early stop to the downward spiral. Verbal understandings become documented agreements, expectations are given substance that can be measured against so there are no surprises down the road.
Bobbie’s mother (Karen) needs to protect him from this neglect. There isn’t much she can do to change Bobbie’s father, but she can try to create a more suitable situation for her son. Karen should document the current neglect shown by Bobbie’s father and use EXnotes “Chain Tag” feature to show a pattern of neglect. Then she should use the “Visitation Scheduler” in EXnotes to produce a revised visitation schedule for consideration by the court. A schedule that let’s Bobby get on with his life.

Tom shows a definite pattern of behavior (dangerous to the kids) and Sarah needs to act immediately. The first thing that she can do is to use EXnotes to document all of the incidents relating to the children. She should Chain them together using the “Chain Tag” feature and should notify her attorney immediately (using the Report and Email feature in EXnotes). That way her attorney can be brought up to speed on what is happening without waiting for their next scheduled appointment. Sarah’s attorney can then determine whether to take immediate legal action (after reading the details contained in the EXnotes report).

It’s been Years and we are Still Fighting
The unfortunate truth about divorce is that the conflict and bad feelings can last for years, especially if there are children involved. EXnotes can help in many ways but one of the most important is the way it enables you to remain organized over the years. Events long forgotten may have relevance today. The EXnotes “Visitation Scheduler” can help straighten out confusing visitation orders that have been modified by time. Just produce a quick schedule agreement and get back to a normal life.

I need to get information to my Attorney Fast
Don’t wait for your next appointment! Get the information to your attorney fast! The EXnotes “Report and Email” feature allows you to gather information, add your observations, include any and all witness statements, and chain them all together into a chronological document that can be sent to your attorney. That way your attorney can evaluate the seriousness of the issue and act accordingly (emergency orders, quick meeting over the phone, a request for additional information, or a call to the police). The ability to get the information to your attorney immediately (while the details are still fresh in your mind) helps you and your attorney build a much better case in the long run.
